It's TikTok that did it. TikTok helped me last year to smile. TikTok had me planning more smiles for the NEXT school year. Gotta love when you know you truly learned about SELF CARE because you're CARING FOR YOURSELF once again.
...and reminded me that I haven't written in awhile of hummingbirds hot, humid afternoons on the porch phone calls with friends the niece and nephew visit that made us oh-so-tired once again the changes in the CDC suggestions the reminder that this is on-going for now masking up for the chiropractor soon to be masking up everywhere because some people who probably wanted a vaccine for the world have DECIDED to not get one so we'll ALL continue to struggle. And I am loved. More than ever. By a man I love to love. So a mask will not bring me down. I will come home each day to the best hugs and kisses that are full of love and devotion. He is where I find my happiness through anything life hands me. Thankful for the rain that brought down the sycamore shreds all over the front lawn this morning.
Bought the vest in 1996. At Country Thunder (now Country Lightning). Forty dollars. Never wore it. Kept it in dry cleaner wrapping. ... Wore it tonight. Best night so far. ... And now he's telling me (again) how he could've gone to jail for stealing the Niagara Parkway sign. Just to prove he and Charlie Justice were there. ... I love this man. I love the mistakes he made, and the lessons he learned from them. I love how he's teaching me to learn big lessons from my big mistakes. ... Other memories from tonight... "Ding-dong(-not-so-much-ditch)ing" BK after going on the Two Brothers tour First concerts (Jethro Tull & Whitney Houston) Porches from our past. ... New memories... Standing up.
So much to do... Read, write, make bookmarks, learn, listen, collect, organize, clean, sweep, plant, weed, bake, visit, call, sit, nap. I'm loving this summer of relaxation and recovery.
Literally... gone right because my toe hurt like crazy... Finally out of the house after a day in pain on the couch only up to puke Hubby got the liquid stuff that helped a TON so today I could be myself again. Soak up the day again. Enjoying the walk no matter the humidity distracted by the sights and sounds stubbed my toe cut my walk short turned right instead of left ran into Stephanie. I was able to walk with her (I hope that's legal) and talk with her and learn a bit about Malik and her almost-eighth-grader and her "daughter" = 4 month-old puppy Shelby. Toe feels fine now smile on my face sweat down my back.
Sunday Morning He calls it "Breakfast at Wimbledon" as he remembers the past. Djokovic vs. Berrettini Breakfast sausages not eaten by grandkids. Pineapple juice in a mug. "Great seats!" Jack called back! He's doing okay says it's "boring" there misses Melissa talk of her and suddenly time to hang up. Not here. Bob can make any day any event any routine special fun whimsical meaningful. Soaking up life today as we should every day as I'll be trying to capture in this new blog.
Inspired by Sheri Edwards , I'm starting a new blog. This is just for me to sit quietly and reflect during my day. I don't know if I'll be able to write every day as Sheri does. For now, it's simply another place to put my thoughts. She'd written about the sycamore bark she sees fall , and I thought of part of my night last night. No photo is included, as it's the day after. Under the porch overhang we sat listening to the rain watching the street glisten seeing the bark fall. A neighbor's gutter full water plummeting down making a dent in the asphalt drive making a sound almost overriding the cars splashing up and down the street behind the house.
